What’s In My Tangerine Tote

On a hot summer day in Hollywood, CA I met up with one of my dearest friends and told her about an idea for this blog I had. Ever since I lived in China and started following Fashion blogs like Tuula, Peony Lim, Cupcakes and Cashmere and Fashion Toast (to name a few) I started to get inspired. Looking through all these established fashion and lifestyle blogs I started brainstorming. However, starting and coming up with a name and content for a blog isn’t easy, and as you look through Tangerine Tote you will see a lot of different topics: fashion, DIY projects, food, travel… I want to talk about it all!

In the past 12 months I have worked internationally, experienced Fashion PR and got my hands dirty in advertising. Through it all, I have carried around one consistent item, my Tangerine Tote. The “Tangerine Tote” doesn’t just symbolize a Tangerine Tote but it correlates to all my handbags. Whether it’s my Tangerine Tote, LV speedy or evening clutch I always have a place to put my essentials. I believe in the saying, “you can tell a lot about a woman by the contents of her purse.” Sometimes my bag is neat and tidy, but most of the time you’ll find candy, gum wrappers, old café receipts and past ticket stubs.

However, you’ll always find a notebook, hand cream, lip balm/lip gloss, colorful scarf, sun glasses, iPhone, my signature perfume and sometimes booze tucked away in my bag of choice for that day/evening. The items shown above are things I use everyday and help inspire my posts for Tangerine Tote. As my blog begins to evolve so will I and TT’s angle. For me, and the same goes for a lot of people, that great things take time. As I continue to learn, I have figured out that launching Tangerine Tote was the hardest part. I am still learning how to master WordPress and Photoshop, but hopefully during this experience I will be a pro at both. Thanks everyone, I am excited to see what comes in the future.

What’s next? NY this week! I am excited to see some old friends and start finding out what my future has in store for me.
